Genshin Impact Cross-platform Information

PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Win) players can play together.

While each store may cross-play with other versions on the same platform, it cannot play with versions in a different cross-play group.

Can Genshin Impact be cross-played?

Yes, Genshin Impact enables cross-platform play on various devices. Players can engage with others, regardless of whether they are on mobile, console, or PC. This means that if you’re using a PlayStation 4 or 5, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, PC, or mobile, you can connect with friends across different platforms.

To access multiplayer in Genshin Impact, a character needs to reach Adventurer Rank 16 first. This rank differs from the character's actual level and is increased by completing quests. This requirement ensures players develop a solid grasp of the game mechanics before entering multiplayer. Usually, achieving Adventurer Rank 16 takes a few hours of gameplay, allowing players to later enjoy Genshin Impact's multiplayer features.

After unlocking multiplayer, players can invite up to three friends to form a typical four-person party. While the game allows cross-play, some limitations apply. Players using the same platform can invite online friends through the "Friends" menu. To engage in cross-play, players need to exchange their UID numbers displayed in the corner of the screen to join each other's worlds. Additionally, cross-play is restricted to specific regions, meaning friends must be on the same server.
