Cross-Play:
Destiny 2 supports full cross-platform play across PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation, Xbox, and Stadia. Players can form fireteams and play together across all supported platforms, with cross-play enabled by default. Matchmaking is divided based on platform type, where competitive game modes like Crucible and Gambit separate console and PC players unless they are in a mixed-platform fireteam. Non-competitive activities like Strikes and social spaces allow matchmaking across all platforms without restrictions.
Cross-Progression:
Players can carry their characters, gear, and progress across all platforms by linking their accounts through Bungie.net. However, cross-play and cross-save are separate systems, meaning progression is linked to the same Bungie account but does not merge separate platform accounts.
